CH Consulting Group Gives Back: Giving4Pets

With 2020 coming to a close, CH Consulting Group has decided to give back to one final organization for the year. Our team is filled with animal lovers, so it only makes sense that we have chosen the GK Foundation, Inc./Giving4Pets as the last non-profit organization that we will donate to in 2020. This non-profit organization is headed by one of our very own consultants, Samantha Garcia. Please join us in donating to a wonderful cause! See below for a letter from Samantha detailing what Giving4Pets is all about and how you can help an animal in need through your sponsorship.

Dear friend,

My name is Samantha Garcia and I am the founder of GK Foundation and Giving4Pets. You may or may not know about me or my new venture, but if not, I hope you will take a few minutes to hear me out. I am reaching out to you because your passion to give back is as strong as mine, and today I believe with all of me that it is time for a new non-profit re-sale/thrift store in Arizona and across the country!

Households love options when it comes time to donate items to be re-sold for a cause. My dream is that the Giving4Pets re-sale/thrift store(s) will be known by every pet owner or person(s) whose heart and soul know that all pets matter and it is time for an organization who is dedicated to help families financially 24/7/365, a need that is needed now more than ever.

GK Foundations capital fundraising goal is $150,000 dollars to be raised by end of Q1 2021. Funds raised will stand up our first thrift store, pay for the build-out, pay for marketing, create jobs, purchase a box truck and operating costs for six months. Giving4Pets has identified a location in Phoenix which major cross streets are I-10 and Elliot Road, the space is 8,330 sq ft and we are negotiating the lease right now.

GK Foundation, Inc. founded Giving4Pets and we are NOT A RESCUE, we will be the organization who provides financial support, supplies and services to help pet households, rescues, foster homes, the humane society, county animal control and any organization who can prove they are a stand-up animal advocacy group.

Our Giving4Pets Thrift Store will provide help to pet parents in need long term or who are temporary struggling due to losing their job during the COVID-19 pandemic, etc. There are 85 million households own at least one pet and 25% of these households will not be able to take care of their pet due to life changes/challenges.

The profits generated from our thrift store(s) sales will provide the money need to fund our mission, we do not want to send three or four pieces of mail with gifts to encourage you to donate and we do not want to call you once a month to ask you to donate, we want you to come SHOP and when you have your quarterly purge of goods, than donate those items to the store for us to resale.  We will listen to everyone who may need help (Impact), for example, but not limited to the following:

  • Senior Pet owners who are struggling to keep up the care for their companion.
  • Struggling households, living paycheck to paycheck (1 in 4 American Households)
  • Pet Emergency hospitals – On average, there are 261+/- GoFundMe campaigns asking to help pay for medical expenses for their pet. ☹
  • Lifesaving treatment (cancer, kidney failure, spinal surgery, etc.),
  • Annual shots, grooming, neutering, spaying, etc.
  • Support all Pet Foster Homes
  • Reach out to hospitals, long term care facilities and retirement communities to determine how we can help.
  • City of Tempe has asked us to help them temporarily house homeless pets, while their homeless owner seeks medical or other treatment needed. We are leaning on the foster homes to provide this service.
  • Lobby to require rescues to become licensed, so there is accountability and oversight.

NO money will be given directly to the pet owner, rescue organization, foster parent, or animal advocacy group. Giving4Pets will pay for all supplies and services directly on behalf of the recipient.

Why a Thrift Store?

Thrift stores are recession proof, consumers will visit when things are great and when they may be struggling. With this said, the thrift store industry is predicting by 2024 to be a $65 billion dollar industry. The Giving4Pets thrift stores will not asked you to send a check, we will encourage you to come shop and donate household items to the store. Consumers may be able to receive a tax deduction, a WIN-WIN for animals and humans (Keeping Pets and Families Together)!

The biggest thrift store in the US is in 12 countries, with 3,200 retail stores, with over 80% of these stores in the US. Their mission is to provide job training and employment services, in 2018 they posted their annual revenue ($5.9 billion and 14% of that revenue was used for administration and operational costs). They publish that they help 250,000 people a year, even when unemployment is low. So, does that mean that for every person they help, they spend $20,000+/-? I do not think so, I will call them out – they are acting like a for profit company and this to me mean it is time for a new player – Giving4Pets estimates with just one store we can help 1-2 households through revenue generated, once more stores open the ability to help will be exponential.

Friend– help me open the first thrift store, be on the board of our foundation and let’s build stores across America! On the next page I have provided sponsorship donation levels.

I look forward to talking with you more about this organization if you have any questions, comments, or concerns. My email address is [email protected].

Please, stay safe and healthy.
