Raising the Vibration of Business

As a full-time student of Life, I am in constant observation, inquiry and study of the world around me. I continually seek new ideas, philosophies and experiences that continually evolve how I interact with people in my life. These lessons can arrive through books, meeting new people, travel, lecture or the examination of human behaviors.

As a culture and a species, we are driven through evolution to continual improvement – genetic mutations create enhanced physical performance; societal pressures change behaviors; technology advancements simplify and extend our area of impact; and shared knowledge increases intelligence. It is incredible to consider evolutionary changes made to date over my own lifespan of how people live and think.

Except in business.

Considering all the advancements made and new information brought forth about how people best function, think and thrive; the acknowledgement of the mind-body-connection; documented studies on positive versus negative energy – it all seems to exist only outside of the business doors.

I will acknowledge that more businesses today than ever before are making great attempts and strides in changing how they conduct business, manage their employees and interact with their customers. But I find them still to be few and far between.

Corporate politics, the mantra of “this is how we’ve always done things,” placating shareholders, and low regard for employee experience remain all too common.

The reality is that it doesn’t take much to turn the tides and achieve the benefits of a more holistic approach to how you manage your business, starting simply with mindfulness – creating an awareness of your current status and starting to outline the changes you’d like to make is a great opening. Bringing in a pair of outside eyes, unattached to your company’s history and personalities, can provide an objective view point to start from as well. As a non-traditional business entity ourselves, at CHCG we encourage businesses to explore new ways of running business and are always excited to brainstorm and assist others with implementing improved processes in any area of your company.
