This month, the spotlight is on the CH Consulting Group consultant, John Welsh.  With  35 years of valuable contact center and telemarketing industry experience, John’s expertise includes operations management, customer service, telemarketing campaign management, script & call guide development, representative and supervisory training, data/report analysis, trend analysis, and work process re-engineering. John’s innate desire to influence, educate, and guide his clients is apparent in his uniquely steadfast approach.

I am the father of TWO wonderful daughters and the proud grandfather of THREE “light of my life” grandchildren.

What is the most rewarding part of being a Consultant?

To be able to utilize my contact center knowledge and experience to provide leadership and coaching to my clients struggling in contact center leadership positions and to see that “light bulb” moment when they grasp the concept being communicated or when the implemented suggestion produces the desired result.

If you were not a consultant, what other career would you have pursued?

As a young man, the dream was to be a high school teacher and a basketball coach. If I was to leave consulting now, my focus would be on traveling and writing about these experiences.

Outside of work, what are a few things that you are passionate about?

Having moved to Florida three years ago after living all my life in Philadelphia, I am passionate about the “endless summer” advantages of living in Florida. I enjoy biking, kayaking, fishing, and playing golf and tennis.
